Vowelhaus is a small independent press in Seattle.

We understand that care means leaning into the grind with an author. Managing the release cadence, reviewing dozens of cover concepts, and fighting for direction on the audiobook. Care also means promoting the quality of the press with every novel, so that the rising tide lifts all. We know most of a book's life happens after release week and we're with the author for the long haul.

What we publish

Fiction. Anything from Romantasy to Literary Horror. We don't select on genre, instead we take a book because it's good and because we can see someone holding it.

How we work

Print-on-demand and ebooks mean our books never go out of print. Editorial, design and production are all handled in-house.

Submissions

We are not open to submissions at present. Please do not send manuscripts, we won't open them.
